With a career spanning more than five decades, my journey in dry docking began at the historic Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, where I started as a dry dock shipwright. Those early years provided hands‑on experience in Graving Dry Docks, Marine Railways, and Floating Dry Docks, forming the technical foundation that shaped my understanding of complex docking operations.

As my career advanced, I moved from shipwright to Dry Dock Supervisor and ultimately into senior leadership roles overseeing full dry‑dock operations. This progression led to my tenure as Dock Master, where I directed intricate docking evolutions and ensured the highest standards of safety, precision, and operational excellence.

Throughout my career, I have managed the dry docking of some of the world’s most advanced naval vessels, including Nuclear Submarines, Ticonderoga Cruisers, Aegis Destroyers, and Fast Frigates. Each operation demanded rigorous quality control and strict adherence to technical standards.

My experience extends beyond Pearl Harbor. I have worked in Graving Dry Docks in Hawaii and on the Ship Lift in Henderson, Western Australia, successfully docking ANZAC Destroyers and an Australian submarine using advanced ship‑lift technology.
