The preparatory phase commences with the identification of the vessel’s exact location within the dry dock. I thoroughly review all relevant ship and vessel docking records to select an official docking position.
My Responsibilities during a Dry Dock Build -up
As a dry‑dock supervisor, I oversee technical preparation, block layout, elevation control, and operational coordination to ensure the dock is structurally precise and fully ready for a safe, incident‑free vessel docking.

The build-up paper for a dry dock is a technical planning document used during the dry-docking process. Its primary function is to determine the exact height and arrangement of keel blocks and bilge blocks.
